“To see a tidal wave in your dream represents an overwhelming emotional issue that demands your attention. You may have been keeping your feelings and negative emotions bottled up inside for too long. On a positive note, the tidal wave symbolizes the clearing away of old habits. If you are carried away by the tidal wave, then it means that you are ready to make a brand new start in a new place.
To dream that you can create a tidal wave with your mind is analogous to your ability to control your emotions and keep them in line.”
Two nights ago, I had a dream that I was on a beautiful beach. My friends and I walked and walked in search of a good place to sit, but every time we wanted to settle, the tides rose higher and fell even deeper, invading the space where we wanted to sit. After walking for what seemed forever, the entire beach ceased to exist as the water rose over all the dry land in sight. We were swimming in water 100 feet deep, and before me, I saw a big tide that was going to wipe us all out.
I woke up before it did.
It was extremely vivid, but I had no recollection of it when I woke up. I remembered later that day as I was walking around Montrose Harbor, looking for a place to sit, and crossed the same emotions as my dream.

This took me thirty minutes and zero dollarz. YEEEEEE.
I WANT IT TO SO BADLY.
Instead of eating this for lunch, I had a plain, baked sweet potato, 3 baby carrots, and sizable chunk of mozzarella cheese. Still delicious though. :)
“Living the focused life is not about trying to feel happy all the time…rather, it’s about treating your mind as you would a private garden and being as careful as possible about what you introduce and allow to grow there.”

To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.
What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.
